Think in terms of the complete site
The residence may occupy only part of what requires attention. Tree health, irrigation, grading, drainage, exterior lighting, walls, gates, pools and accessory structures all influence cost, resilience and daily use.
Walk the perimeter and understand how water moves across the property. Review which improvements are permitted, which systems serve the site and what will require recurring professional care. A large lot is most valuable when its responsibilities fit the owner’s expectations.
